OK, what I did was downloaded the above release from your link, copied to Update folder and did a reboot. I didn't change anything regarding the kernel. I assumed that the link on your site already has Nougat kernel. Or maybe I'm wrong? How can I check if I'm running Nougat kernel now?

I setup a remote using ir-keytable but it seems to be repeating the last key that was pressed when a new button is pressed. For example if I press the down key then the ok key it will issue a second downkey command when I press the ok button. This makes navigation impossible. Anyone else experience this?

i have 4k tv to have tv upscale it, what resolution do i set the c2 to? i set it to 1080p on c2 and my tv when i press info says 1080p, so wondering if tv isnt upscaling or what?

Optimal settings 4K TV for highest quality upscaling:

Kodi dynamic refresh switching must be activated for this to work:
Kodi Settings > Player Settings > Video > Adjust Display refresh rate > Start/Stop

Do not enable Sync playback to display.

Then pick which type of video content you view the most and set the LibreELEC Kodi user interface to that resolution.

720p:
Viewing 720p content, leave the Kodi interface set at 720p and let the 4K TV upscale picture outputs 720p > 4K

1080p:
Viewing 1080p content, leave the Kodi interface set at 1080p and let the 4k TV upscale picture outputs 1080p > 4K

4K:
Viewing 4K content, leave the Kodi interface set at 720p or 1080p and let LibreELEC auto resolution switch your TV to 4K and then output 4K video to the 4K TV.

most of my stuff is 1080p but some of my tv shows are rips i made from my dvd,s, i changed it to start stop and kodi to 1080p and tv still shows 1080p when i press info

Kodi will never resolution switch to a lower resolution that what the user interface is currently selected to.
This is the same for all LE Kodi devices.

Eg if you select 1080p it can only switch upwards to 4K
if you select 720p for the user interface resolution then LE Kodi can resolution switch up to 1080p or 4K - depending on what you are viewing.

Set the lowest user interface resolution Kodi will allow in its Settings if watching DVD's. You might be able to set 480p or 720p.

i realise that, my point was is my tv is still saying 1080p, i did what you said set it to 1080p and set the switching like you said, i thought the tv would say 4k, maybe it is but doesnt say or what im not sure, im on raybuntu 17, build Kodi 17.4RC1 Git:3aa19b0, thanks for helping

Remove any AVR you may have in the HDMI chain.

If you cannot even select a 3840x2160p (4K) resolution in Kodi settings - manually then you have a HDMI Handshake problem and not all the TV display modes are being read properly by the C2.

Yes you are right. If you are feeding your TV 1080p content at 1080p it will always show 1080p on the TV's pop up banner. Internally your TV will do the 1080p > 4K upscaling.

I would say @Raybuntu's - as he keeps right on top of the latest developments - and has added extra tweaks and Addons to his 32bit LE releases.
It also has some backported media build DVB Tuner support.

The 64bit LE compatible .tar update I posted at the top of the thread is pretty bang up to date as well. It has some Linux Kernel H264 video playback improvements in it that i need for watching H264 1080i Live TV.

64bit (aarch64) is not compatible with 32bit (arm) releases. See Raybuntu's ODROID C2 thread Page #1 for switchover 64bit > 32bit details.
