v17 Artwork Beef - automatically add extended artwork
(2019-08-21, 03:23)rmrector Wrote: Ratings are easier, though, and will probably be in the next feature version.
@rmrector
Could you please consider this in the upcoming KyraDB artwork types votes implementation -> https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2879512 (last paragraph)

Have you entered your API and User key from kyradb.com?

Yes. Is it working for you? I assume it places them next to the movie file like other Artwork?

Also seeing occasional http error, ssl error popups across the top when using. Characterart not downloading either. Don't see any issues in log other than one about movieset artwork:
RROR: Failed to open(//movie set artwork/Mission: Impossible Collection/) opendir call failed with "NFS: Lookup of /movie set artwork/Mission: Impossible Collection failed with NFS3ERR_NOENT(-2)"
2019-08-23 21:56:22.012 T:9312   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting nfs://192.168.0.101/volume2/video1/movie set artwork/Mission: Impossible Collection/

That error makes sense because the filename is not allowed on the file system, so not sure why Artwork Beef doesn't know that.

OK I have tested it deleted my characterart and wanted to download it again and it is not working. I know it has worked 2 weeks before. I can download characterart and animated Posters over the context menu but the automatic one doesn't work for me to...

OK I got it to work again. In the artwork beef settings in "movies" under ADDITIONAL ART TYPES FOR MOVIES (COMMA SEPARATED)' you have to type: "animatedposter" and for characterart you have to type "characterart,characterart1,characterart2,characterart3....." after that it worked for me, but I fought you don't have to do this anymore?
Sorry for my bad english

I'm on 0.26 and since 0.25.x when I want to change a poster for a movie, the window that pops up that I used to select the poster doesn't give me any preview. Same thing for fanarts and other items. I'm on Kodi v19.

I tried reinstalling from scratch and reconfiguring everything, kyradb is disabled, I tried every possible thing I read in the latest posts I read. Same issue.

In the logs I see a bunch of these:

Code:

I'm thinking to go back to an older version, which worked fine. Where can I download old ones?

Thanks for this great addon and for any help to fix the problem.

usually since newest version you don't have to.

depending on your internet speed connection you have usually to wait some seconds each new preview artwork on focus.

Lately got several pm's from member with different AB errors. The only thing they all had in common is that they made a Kodi upgrade (or the same version installed above)
The problem got solved on all when not just reinstall AB in Kodi, instead try this way a complete and not just half refresh:
  • close kodi
  • Delete AB addon folder manual (C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\script.artwork.beef)
  • Delete AB addon data folder manual  (C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\script.artwork.beef)
  • open kodi and install AB from rector stuff repo

Not a delay problem. I already thought about it. Internet connection is fine.

As I already wrote, I tried reinstalling from scratch deleting the data folder too and reconfiguring it from scratch, same issue.

I think it might be some updates to Kodi v19 which broke something.

I don't know why but the kyra downloads are not working for me, only if I write animatedposter and characterart in additional art types, but also only one characterart although several are available. I know it worked about 2 weeks ago and I haven't changed anything since, except artwork beef updated to 0.26 and an embuary Helper update

Manually adding the two as you stated does work. However they are checked also in the list, so maybe there is a bug there that not's recognizing they are checked?

Hi @rmrector would it be possible to remove the hardcoded newline for label2 in artworkselection.py ~line 155?

Exact same problem here.
Absolutely no preview (although it lists available artworks with no problem) for any of the available categories and if I try to download anything, it says that it is downloaded, but the result is no picture ^^
I have also tried everything I read here, including reinstalling from scratch, with no luck...
Kodi v19 here too.

Where exactly do you enter the API key and the User Key?

EDIT: Found the advanced settings on AB and entered the API and User Key from Kyradb.
Still, no Animated Artworks even on manual mode.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Animated Artwork was working before I rescraped my entire library.
There are no errors, it's just that no animated artwork can be found even if I try to rescrape each title manually by using  "SELECT ANIMATED ART" on the context menu.

Write "animatedposter" in the "ADDITIONAL ART TYPES FOR MOVIES (COMMA SEPARATED)" setting and run "add missing artwork for" all movies again that worked for me
