Req Scrape All button
#16
Hi DanCooper.

Just to clarify
I don't want the button to scrape all anymore..as stated in my original post.

Just give us the option to choose what we want the function do..
This will allow us to choose Function we want it do, based on the drop down list button.

BY DEFAULT
Make that button scan All new movies > All missing items
This eliminates any issues with regards to the problem you said

Your comments is no longer constructive

You do not understand anything about why having a button assign to a regularly used drop down menu item would be useful.

If u find that u regularly used a particular drop menu item,
Having a button assigned to it, would make it more faster to access.

Instead of closing your mind, why not look at why some people might find this would be useful?

So no point discussing this with you.

I do not care what you think anymore.
I have added you permanently to my ignore list.

An option to customize the button is a good idea, that is something that we can do.

But thousands of movies or tv shows don't slows down Ember. We are working whit a SQLite database and that one can handle much more entries than you ever will be able to have in your library.
Your way to use Ember works only with movies, not with tv shows. So I think the most of all users use it as Media Manager, not as scraper-only.

By default, the button will be untouched and works as drop-down menu.

Wouldn't having thousands of movies + hundreds of TV shows slow down Ember during startup?
Since it would need to load the database into Ember?

Actually with TV shows I also do same way I do Movies..
Scraped TV in specific folder then move it out.

Of course others will have their own way of using Ember.

==

Yes, that is all I asked for.
A customize-able scrape button.

Will u still keep the arrow drop down button? even if we customize the main scrape button?

===

Any other comments about how people use Ember is irrelevant now, since it just takes feature request off topic and into arguments that are irrelevant to the feature request which may be a good idea.

And people use Ember differently.
I have since said that comment is not relevant anymore..

Also I have change my idea of the button being a scraped All to least damaging

ie, Scrape New movies > missing items.

Or as you suggested is good as well.

===

The whole idea of a customized scrape button is the most important thing out of this topic and should stay on that topic.

I had an idea for that feature after realizing that I tend use a certain drop down menu item regularly.

So the idea could benefit many users and reduce repetitiveness.

Thanks.
