Issue in the TMDB database. Atm you can only disable the TMDB scraper for this tv show. More info here: Link
I have folder with name like this
Naruto [Horriblesubs 1080p]
Naruto [Horriblesubs 480p]

Unfortunately, Ember unable to scrape these folders. How can i make ember
1. ignore string within [] characters?

Thanks.
Hi Dan,

is there a way to sort "Die Hard" under "D", without removing "die" in the list of ignored works for sorting.

At the moment, I don't have any german titles, but who knows...
Dan,

can you consider the following enhancement:

be able to choose whether to use the original title, or the "localized" title, for display and sorting.

I have a couple of movies (and series) where the original title is better known, and it makes it difficult to retrieve it. For example, nobody uses "Le trône de fer", in France, but "Game of Thrones". I even have a french movie which is shown with its English title. I know I can manually change it, but an option would be nice
is there any issue with having a tv series that has 1 season on 1 hard drive and another season on a different hard drive? because i cannot sync it using ember.

Ember can not combine one tv show from different path. You have to merge it to one or it will be handled as two different tv shows.

to clarify, its not an issue with my sql database? the reason i ask is because i have other tv shows and while its not an issue for me to have multiple enteries in ember as long as it scrapes and syncs, im fine with it. i was getting confused at the ember log not finding the series in the database. i have to manually scan for new content to see the scraped data but sync doesnt work. when i looked at sql, i noticed that in the Views, it lists the new season in the hdd where the other half of the series is like hdd1 not hdd2 for example. so thats why i thought it might have been a issue with the kodi and the sql.

Check the Ember log to see what exactly the problem is. It should work, Ember only can't combine the tv show to one entry (but you now that already). Maybe its something with the mapping in the KI settings? You also can see the path in the log that the KI searches on Kodi.

here is the log. i synced the last episode in 1 hard drive, and the first episode on another hard drive. https://pastebin.com/x5gHDmWv it doesnt find it in the database but it is in mysql when scanned for new content in kodi andd when i use ember to go to the file it opens just fine in the directory of the episode.

edit:
i have all my drive mounted on a linux share in /mnt/sdX1. i use nfs but mount them to windows as a network share smb just for access. in the sql i do see all files as nfs://server/sdX1/Folder/Series etc. in the kodi interface within ember, it has the correct nfs location for the root of the media.

Kodi is case sensitive if your run it on Linux/LibreELEC. Is this path correct?:
Code:
nfs://server/mnt/Media_HDD-6/TV_Shows-6/Shameless/

yes, just verified it. i am at a total lose at this. i really think that it has to do with the Views query that fills it with the first enterie.

i have split up other tv shows the same way, putting season 1 of another series from hdd1 to hdd3 and season 2 on hdd6. after scanning for new content, hdd3 season 01 syncs fine but not season 02 on hdd6. it populates that views.episode_view the same way as the screenshot. funny thing is, i did it again starting with season 02 being scanned first and then moving and scanning season 01 which results in the same thing just with season 01 listing where season 02 is, not in its correct location.

so i am not sure how its being populated. because all other locations are showing up properly in all other tables of the sql. maybe its using "idShow" and auto populating all the info from the previous "idShow"? i dunno im just at a user level lol

The problem is that the tv show has not been found, not the episode. The first query is "get ID of the tv show" and that fails. So you've to check what's listed in tvshow_view.

in tvshow_view i see the idshow which matches the screenshot above. it has 6 seasons but the sync only works for 1-4 thats on hdd5. 5-6 i scanned for new content in kodi because ember wouldnt sync. it does show the total number of episodes and the number watched correctly. the only thing is that i think the sql isnt meant to have the series split. the strPath has nfs://server/mnt/Media_HDD-5/TV_Shows-5/Shameless/ in tvshow_view.

If this is the path in the SQL table:
Code:
nfs://server/mnt/Media_HDD-5/TV_Shows-5/Shameless/
than Ember can't find the idShow for the episode that has to be synced with the path:
Code:
nfs://server/mnt/Media_HDD-6/TV_Shows-6/Shameless/

So there has to be a stacking info somewhere in your database.
