Firstly I am no programmer or coder, total noob in this area.

Now we have a stable finished master Kodi 16 is it possible to add VAAPI with EGL interoperation (thnks to the great work our friend fritsch has done) to make an Openelec build.

Is this process easy, hard, or not possible.

And yes I know there are bleeding edge Kodi 17 builds like this, but skins, addons, etc struggle to keep up and there is always a possibility of a non friendly wife bug appearing.

No. We won't release v16 with EGL.

Just stay on v15.2 with EGL. The changes for VAAPI and intel are not existent in v16 version. 15.2-EGL special edition is far, far ahead technically.
