I got it to work now. I had to right click the zipfile and unlock it first then plug it in and start the update. Thanks for the file! :-D

There is a new official firmware, 2.0.5 http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=2289.0 and a new CFW from pcristi https://forum.softpedia.com/topic/105605...ry21709293. I would wait for a new CFW, because Netflix and HBO Go do not play anything, both are throwing some errors. I asked pcristi to take a look, he fixed it before on 2.0.4.

New Full Blu-ray Menu support Patch/App (for both .iso & BDMV folder rips). Smile

The app was released the same time as the latest Android 7 firmware 2.0.5 rather than building it in (so you need to upgrade firmware first to use and IMHO the best reason to consider upgrading from 2.0.4).

http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=2291.0

Load the .apk file, run the app (once) and it works!

Tested: A few BD .iso files as well as a full BDMV folder. Choice is given each time between “Full Menu” or “Lite Menu”. I chose Full for all testing.
• Boots very quickly into the main disk menu (much faster than any Blu-ray player can from loading a disk)
• Loads and plays movie previews before Main Menu (if this is the disk default) in exactly the same way as a stand-alone player will.
• Chapter selection works fine from Main Menu. Remote still enables fast chapter jumps during playback.

I must say that the problems I had with Netflix and HBO Go were not caused by the new CFW 2.0.5. Netflix started working after a reboot and HBO Go is having some issues at the moment. I cannot watch anything with HBO Go on my tablet either. Do support pcristi by going to the Softpedia topic and buy him a coffee. He helped me with 2.0.4 and with 2.0.5 now. Big thanks to pcristi. I already gave him 2 coffees, if I am not mistaken.

I did not test the new full Blu-Ray menu support app because I do not have any locally saved Blu-Ray disks (I bought quite a few in time).

Yes, using Q10 Pro.

@harpreetz: some users are reporting the same issues. I prefer to get my own quality subtitles. You do not know where does the HiMedia player get them, probably from opensubtitles.org. I found some very, very bad subtitles there, probably translated with Google. This feature was always a hit and miss.

Sadly the 2.0.5 fw has a major flaw: they've messed up the embedded subtitles again. I can't believe this fumbling, seams to be a tilt at windmills...

I was glad that it has received good user feedback -at last-, but this bug juts overwrites all of my curiosity, so I skip -again- and stay on the trusty 1.0.9 -again-.

Otherwise: I wish the base firmware were more compatible with KODI, so we could have a proper auto frequency switching at least. Would come in handy for interlaced DVDs and TV materials, as HiMedia seams very much ignoring this expectation to integrate it in the HiMedia Player.

Tho' the HiPlayer still has a superior PQ for all the rest, without the above It's just not as complete as it should be.

Still waiting for a "miracle" update... Or a matching video player app alternative...

Hi
I have a Bose sound bar that doesn't support dts audio. Can you tell me if this unit can decode dts and output stereo from either optical or hdmi?
Thanks

We have 2.0.6 official http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=2526.0 and a patch to 2.0.6 features https://forum.softpedia.com/topic/105605...ry21904623. I will be flashing my Q10 Pro with the patch tonight. pcristi informed me that the patch should bring in the changes on the official firmware. So no full CFW 2.0.6.

HiMedia just release new firmware 2.0.6 for Q10 Pro, the 1st supplier to support 4K UHD Blue ray navigation running on Android 7.0 OS. Get the firmware from their official website(http://www.himediatech.com/support.htm ) and install an apk(http://www.mediafire.com/file/j7vmnc9ovq...ayMode.apk) to activate this function.

Good morning
I'm still firmware 1.1 (Android 5.1) and I wonder if I should install the latest version 2.06 (Android 7).
Until now I found myself well with the old firmware, especially with Kodi 17.5.1
I'm afraid if something does not work I can not go back.
What do you recommend me?

Thank you

Quick question. My videos are in shared folders on a Windows 10 computer. It is wired to the same home network as my Q10 Pro. With it running firmware 1.08, Kodi opens my shared folders via SMB and uses Wrapper to play the files. They play just fine. Neither Kodi nor Wrapper ever asked me for a Samba username and password. Then I upgraded to firmware 2.06.

Update was successful, so I set Kodi up in exactly the same way. Kodi did not ask for any password when I added my SMB shared folders but Wrapper won't play my videos. It just keeps asking for my Samba username and password, which cannot be left blank. I tried "guest" as the username with a blank password. Won't work. I tried "guest" as both the username and password. Won't work too. The only way my videos will play is if I set Wrapper to play via Kodi, but no HD audio on the Q10 Pro. I need Wrapper for that.

I never had this happen before, so I am stumped. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance. Smile
