v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
sorry, have always the same issue with DVDmenue with this #0630 build ...

THX
Harald

btw: there is a icon in Infobar, names "Lesezeichen" in german -> "bookmark" - i'm spacy, because that will show me the Kapitel from the DVD.
is this what you meant to say - be right?

next:

BR menue from "Pink Floyd - The EndlessRiver" is not so smooth like the builds bevor - need more time to switch/run from the choice into playing the content.

...i know - terrible english - hope you understand me.
#0701 fixed the 1080i bug... However, this DVD deinterlacing issue is now even worse. In previous builds it was possible to enable deinterlacing by pressing "Menu" during the movie and then restarting the movie. After the restart the deinterlacing is (usually) enabled. In build #0701 deinterlacing is always disabled, no matter what I do.
hi, its been a while. eden, frodo cant remember. lol
thanks for making this custom bleeding edge build.

I know you have not announced #701 yet, but the stalker pvr client is broken in this version.
it loads channels fine but can not play them back. the 'busy' wheel just keeps spinning in kodi after trying to open a channel, ands I am getting this repeated in the log:

I dont know if the above means anything to you, seems to have something todo with ffmpeg.
anyway I can provide more info, and test 'test' versions if you need it.

Good morning Milhouse & pocornmix

#0701:

1) BR The Endless River is not playable, no selection possible with the mouse-cursor.
Image
The selection of the Menue is not on the right place.
Something wrong, because in last build the selection is left over the "circle" on 40" LCD-TV

2) Eagles Hell Freezes over - the selection of sound-setup works now, but there is no Menue visible.

Yes, I watched this with iPlayer add-on. Great match and great quality. 720p50 works really well for football.
I'm not aware of anything that has changed on Pi/kodi side to explain this. It is possible the BBC have upgraded their servers and can handle more bandwidth now.

ok. I see no commits to the stalker client, so something in the #701 build must have broke it.
I just tried again, and i'm still (doh) getting the ffmpeg 403 forbidden errors in the log instead of just opening the link as with #630.
it makes no sense?

Do you see the issue on a nightly build on other platforms?
Do you know what protocols stalker uses? What does the URL opened by player look like?

If it uses rtmp then this may be the caause:
added: FFmpeg-supplied RTMP support (PR:10015, 2 commits, 5 files changed)

yeah it uses RTMP or HLS (I have a feeling these are handled somewhat equally?), so that makes sense, where do I/we go from here?

EDIT: could you or milhouse possibly be kind enough to make a test build without those commits, to see if it is really the issue?

best regards.

So the "Opening:" line in log has a filename that starts "rtmp://"?
@Milhouse is it possible to include https://github.com/notspiff/inputstream.rtmp ?
As I understand it kodi now only supports very basic rtmp through ffmpeg and you need inputstream.rtmp for fuller rtmp support.

no actually it looks like it is opening a m3u8, that takes it to a .ts with the protocol HLS.
with #630 everything goes smooth:

and it continues. the 'busy' wheel never stops with 'unable to play this item'. I have to manually stop it by pressing x.
EDIT: the urls I unfortunately have to leave out, have trailing parameters after m3u8? like start stop time, token, user, and various other stuff.
Although I stated in previous post that iplayerwww add-on is playing Live streams really well and very smoothly in latest builds #0630+ CoolCool I am also noticing that some skipping of frames is occurring with the catch-up streams, which seems to me to be more noticeable and annoying in #0701.

"o" to bring up additional info in GUI, "skip" steadily increasing in value, which is not occurring with live playback. (3.1 & 5.5Mbps Limelight)

Switched on debug (with additional logging for ffmpeg) to catch some additional info when skipping occurs debug log
For overall reference, I switched on debug around 16:17 then played Celebrity MasterChef Series 11: Episode 4, Part 1 (3.1Mbps Limelight)

Is it OK and useful to keep adding these reports here, when using latest builds or preferable in iplayerwww thread? Blush

Here is fine - this sounds like a player issue rather than an add-on issue.
Be aware that debug logging (especially with the video component specific logging) is quite verbose and can cause skips when log is flushed to sdcard,
so make sure the problem also occurs without logging enabled.

If you think this is a regression, then identifying the first build with the problem would be very useful.
Any particular reason deinterlace support had been removed?
