Okay, that's useful to know. So with sdram_freq at default does the file play smoothly with subtitles disabled?

Yep. It's only when enabling subtitles the problem arises.

This indeed fixed it. Not a single crash so far after I disconnected the gamepad.
In the latest nightly builds -- both Generic and RPI2 -- the MythTV PVR addon hangs on startup at "Importing Guide From Clients 1%". Here's a log:

http://pastebin.com/irGVxjj3

I don't see this problem with the latest Krypton nightlies for Windows.

Let me know if I can gather any other information to help solve this, or if I can help with testing a fix.

Thanks to all the devs for the great work on Krypton!

Can you just post a single kodi.log file that contains the error, as explained in note #9 of the first post? The log you have posted (which contains multiple log files, most of them irrelevant) is going to confuse people to the point where they'll just ignore your post.

Sorry...I missed that note.

I rebooted to start a new logfile...and now I'm unable to duplicate the problem. I'd seen it on repeated restarts of the same build, so I'm not sure what changed.

In any case, we can hold on this for now. If I see the problem again, I'll post a new (abbreviated) logfile.

Could it be a network issue? Do you need "Wait for network before starting Kodi" enabled in LibreELEC Settings?

maybe a coincidence, maybe not, I upgraded to #0829 from probably around #0819 and am watching a HEVC TV show on my RPi3, this is the first time I have EVER seen the under voltage rainbow square. It comes and goes.

Time to upgrade the power supply I guess.

linux drivers are here: http://static.tp-link.com/res/down/soft/..._Linux.zip

Any help would be appreciated

Kind Regards

Please ask on the LibreELEC forum: https://forum.libreelec.tv/forum-18.html

(and so you know when you post there, your link isn't working).

Not surprisingly, this problem has come back. I did set the option you suggested, but it didn't help. (I'm using a wired Ethernet connection, so I wouldn't expect much of a delay in the network connection process.)

Here is the logfile -- hopefully one that will be useful this time. But let me know if I can do anything else to help debug this.

Add this to ~/.kodi/userdata/advancedsettings.xml:

Code:
<advancedsettings>
    <omx>
        <omxdecodestartwithvalidframe>0</omxdecodestartwithvalidframe>
    </omx>
