v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
No
The last two Build works fine for me on braswell n3150, thank you all.

Live tv Audio passthrough is there a chance back to work?

I set speaker numbers to 2.0, Enable Dolby Digital(AC3) transcoding, but AC3(2.0) still shows PCM on my yamaha av reciver. I tried 6.0.398,All OK.

Thanks, unfortunately still no iodea why.

What's different about your hardware to everyone else's? Is this only affecting Braswell hardware?

I think it's you, tinzarian, D-an-W, Nafi and Roby77 with this issue. Could those with non-functional auto-repeat post your machine details, let's try and work out what you all have in common...

I will be able to test and report back this evening, early start today.

The machine is an ASUS Chromebox M061U Desktop (Core i3 4010U 1.7GHz, 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD), I use the Harmony Touch configured as a "Microsoft Remote Control 1040".
Quote:Nafi with this issue
nope,
Remote Control auto repeat works for me and has never broken.

My hardware: Asrock Beebox N3000 - Braswell Celereon N3000, 8GB Ram, 30GB M2 SSD - Logitech Harmony Touch - MCE Profile.
Baytrail Chromebox N2930: BT remote (PS3) auto-repeat is working fine, IR (MCE) is broken

I did some bisection today, the only working builds without 100% CPU usage are #0330 and #0331(with Kodi Alpha1 - 5b9b4b5), all other show the same behaviour.

I'm sure my issue is not Libreelec related, the issue is Kodi related.

Was there a major change in Kodi after the 5b9b4b5 commit ? I think that was the point when " Vertical blank sync " disappeared.

I did a local test build today, with the 5b9b4b5 commit, this is running without the 100% CPU issue on my mentioned living room box.

Best regards

You're saying the problem starts with #0401?

These are the Kodi changes in #0401:

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/compare/5b9.....72769f69

As you can see, not many and certainly nothing that stands out.

These were the FernetMenta commits in #0401:

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/compare/xbm...18698e39ad

All but 18698e3 were present in #0331.

The LibreELEC changes don't appear significant either:

https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.t.....baecc664

Did you manage to test a recent build with a "clean" .kodi, ie. with only stock addons?

Hi,

I did some research with clean LibreElec builds, only the stock addons enabled,

the builds #0330 to #0403 are absolutely fine, no problems with my 100% CPU issue,

with #0405, I'm getting a kernel panic,

with #0406 to #0519, I have the 100% CPU issue, but only on systems with a Nvidia GPU,

no issues with the builds, on systems with a Intel IGPU, expect #0405.

Right with " DEBUG: ------ Window Init (VideoFullScreen.xml) ------ " one CPU core is fully locked at 100%,

on Nvidia systems, init a other window like DEBUG: ------ Window Init (MyVideoNav.xml) ------, immediately

drops the CPU usage to ~10% - 12%.

Was there a major change in Kodi, between f6264876 and ce28cb6, that could cause this?

I can reproduce this on all Kodi 17 installations, Arch, Suse, Ubuntu ..., from ce28cb6 on,

VideoFullScreen is causing my issue on Nvidia system, and no problems with Intel system.

I also cross checked this two of my mates, with the same result.

Or maybe I'm absolutely stupid and doing something wrong.

I found a posting on a German Kodi forum, that chap

is also digging in that issue.

Best regards
N3700 auto repeat also broken...

Starting with #0404c we switched the xf86-video-nvidia-legacy driver from 304.131 to 340.96:

https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.t...57c4f34188

What nvidia GPU is it, specifically? I don't have a problem with ION2 (Revo 3700), so if this is the cause it's a subset of nvidia GPUs.

Edit: Although if you say this happens on all Kodi 17 systems - "Arch, Suse, Ubuntu ..., from ce28cb6 on" - then it's not likely to be the GPU driver as that wouldn't change on the other systems. I'll make a list of the Kodi changes in #0404c, #0405 and #0406.

I didn't realize I have this issue, since I run #0509x, but I installed #0519 to test and auto repeat doesn't work. I didn't test my remote-control-power-on-issue but I suspect that's still there as well.

I have a Zotac Zbox CI520, which has a coie i3 4020y, as for the other stuff: lspci and lsusb, and a Harmony Touch, using a mix of MCE PC SE and Zotac profiles.
We're bumping eventlircd in the next build #0520 so please test that and see if the auto-repeat issues are resolved (or not).

@Roby77 can you also test #0520 and see if that helps you with your displays that work only some of the time.
