v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
After fresh install of LE on (NUC HSW I3) and upgrade to #0521 I have problems with frame being dropped. Looks like my problem has to do with 30 and 25FPS videos. All 23.976 playback seems like alot less dropped frames. Any help or suggestions are very appreciated.
Full Debug
Hey Milhouse just wondering why you stopped updating Openelec Testbuilds as of 04/15?
@Milhouse I would like to test your patch and dr hdmi without custom edid loading

Is there a command to disable/enable custom edid loading without need to format ? (Tried renaming only edid file name but kodi change res at every startup

Thanks, but the PR is the best place for that discussion.

I've no interest in OpenELEC now that it's forked as LibreELEC.

I have a NUC5PPYH with the Brasswell Pentium N3700 processor. I put it in Akasa fanless case.

I have a habit of feeling it to see if the fanless case is doing the job.

While running LE 7.0, when idle, it is barely above cold. After watching a 2 hour movie just warm.

Running build 518,

It gets very warm while idle and borderline hot while viewing a movie.

When debug mode is on, and idle, it reports the CPU as very busy, of 50% average of all cores.

I surmise that there are still race conditions in the Kernel when running on Brasswell.
build #0522 on nuc hsw i3 still having a big mountain of dropped frames and basically very choppy playback when it does it. I hope someone can suggest or can help me figure it out. debug
Thanks for the hard work and the buillds. One issue, i checked kodi log nothing shows up. My pvr.hts (tvheadend) client didn't load channels after system startup. I need to deactivate and activate pvr.hts then it works immediately.
How can i debug this? Thanks in advance

When did this problem start (which build)? There is a pvr.hts update in #0520.

Umm... @fritsch?

A broken edid is broken, no matter how you want to load it. The method did not change. Forcing default resolution happens with xorg.conf
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
Forced Edid works cause i have audio Hd without switching on Avr on boot

I would like to temp disable custom edid load just to test @Milhouse fake edid patch and i would like to try dr hdmi hardware solution

I thinked that deleting / renaming .../firmware/edid.bin was sufficient but if I do it at every startup kodi changes res to 1024x768 even if i set 1920x1080

Tried to edit xorg but with my linux skill i can't change write permission

Since I upgraded from openelec to librelec. Using the #0521 at the moment. Tried to uninstall pvr.hts reconfigure etc no changes to this behavior.
