v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
I cannot help you without the logs. If I find more time - we can make a speculation camp. Everybody gets 10 minutes to tell stories of others :-)
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
Bah, speculation. I prefer the good old magic eight ball. It's 100 percent reliable Smile

Geez, I thought that might add some clarity - obviously not. No, support for physical disks of the DVD variety remains disabled.

If it was disabled before, then it still is.

Yes...just for the record and for others..

Installed win10 over usb 3 fast pen disk and tried several start & stop ( like F1 Car : D ) and no problem of black screen or boot without forced edid

I was afraid that was an AVR fault (firmware or hardware)

Let's hope that in the future will be solved Blush

Nb: i only noticed a difference

Linux default buffer used by graphic driver 2...win 3

PQ for me it's the same (maybe linux better gray ramp scale, but difficult to say without live compar)
@Milhouse could it be possible to have a test version with kernel 4.7 rc1? Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

I'm sure we'll get on the 4.7 release candidate train soon enough, although it might be prudent to avoid the first few candidates as you might not thank me if they're pretty rough...

All fine after a brief look. Kodi finds the SNY-whatever device. So here you don't have audio?

Yes, no audio and the video pauses every 2 or 3 seconds then continous to play for 2 or 3 seconds, then pauses again and so on and the log is beeing flooded with the error messages that the audio render could not be created.

Side note: SNY = It's not a trick, it's a Sony-(Beamer). But as said I have the same issues on a second TV which is from Samsung.

Please reproduce once again, but this time please enable debug logging before starting. As I don't see which audio device it wanted to open.
