I'm curious, Did you get this resolved?

No, unfortunately still an issue. Haven't received a response if the issue has been found or being addressed so just waiting it out. Also have not tried the last nightly so could have been fixed, no really sure.

I think this is probably one for @fritsch who may have an idea what is causing it.

We were able to reproduce using this sample: http://fritsch.fruehberger.net/samples/h...-DWEU.m2ts

Thanks once again for your quick feedback and help!
Hi,

I'm using LibreElec testbuild #0618.
Installed by using LibreELEC-7.0.1-dvb_drivers_1.2 , because I needed support for digitaldevices tv-card.
After that I used the upgrade image #0618 from this thread and everything is working:
the Testbuild Kodi And (still) the tv-card.

Is it possible to use the testbuild images again to upgrade ?
I thought because of the kernel upgrade happend in the latest testbuilds maybe the dvb-drivers will stop working with newer builds.
If you've installed additional drivers then it's very likely they'll stop working when you upgrade the rest of the system to a new kernel. Upgrading in the way you have is not recommended - you should be installing drivers that are compatible with the system you are running. Clearly you got lucky to begin with, and your luck won't last forever. If you need drivers that are provided by the dvb_drivers build then it's highly unlikely you'll be able to continue using these test builds.

I get jerky playback with a 50hz file while info and playback menu overlay (ok button) is active and while fade in of the overlay. But there are no skipped frames.
There is no judder with 23.976Hz files and the overlay.

Normal playback runs just fine.

Any idea?

Hi Milhouse

was just wondring if you got any plans to add Dual Audio to your LibreELEC Generic for x86 (Kodi 17.0)

PS keep up the good work M8
@Milhouse

Ever since #717+ (tried #718 and same issue) I see some horrible stutter/lag and when I check the detailed Info screen I see a every other frame is skipped. I rolled back to #716 and it went away and was able to play the same file(s) with the same settings without issues.

Here is some data for you to see if you can determine the issue:

kodi #717 log (broken)
http://sprunge.us/NEEG
dmesg
http://sprunge.us/RXcC
kodi #716 log (working)
http://sprunge.us/GgIN
cpu info

Let me know if there is anything I can assist in troubleshooting or debugging.

Nope, no plans. There's no likelihood of DA being merged upstream so there's no place for it in these test builds which are intended to help test future upstream functionality.

Milhouse:

With #719 I am still getting horrible frame skipping and had to revert back to #716 where it is stable. I experienced this in #717, #718, and #719 and here are the kodi logs playing the same file exactly:

http://sprunge.us/KiZY - Kodi.log #719
http://sprunge.us/DAUT - Kodi.log #716

I've also had some video showing what the experience is like:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fy4fccuwgksqiv...M.mov?dl=0 - playback #719, notice the skipped frames incrementing and also you can see the lag/stutter
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fbvr8j2x9ahq0s...M.mov?dl=0 - playback #716, initial skipped are due to refresh change but after that its completely smooth in playback.

Here is the mediainfo details as well:

For some reason your system forces deinterlacing which does not make much sense. That is a maximum stupid mode that should be removed. The question is why it got activated in this build.
