v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
Hola,

Please, I need help with some issues. I'm using and old notebook with Core2 Duo CPU P7370 with a GPU GMA 4500MHD
.
1.- I don't get video acceleration. It is supposed that the GPU is capable of decoding MPEG 2 and H264. But when I play a mpeg2 video, Kodi shows a green screen and then a black screen. With H264 Kodi plays it, but with SW. VAAPI is enabled.

2.- The video looks washed out (I don't know if this is the rigth way to say it) No blacks. But when I put "xrandr --output HDMI1 --set "Broadcast RGB" "Full"" in a autostart.sh file, the videos looks better, but I don't know if is the correct way.

3.- The notebook has a internal hard drive that I use with my media, but it always is changing it's identification (I mean sda to sdb and vice versa) so my library can't be played.

4.- I'm using a remote control with Libreelec but the first press of a button doesn't work, only the next presses work but only if the presses are fast enougth (maybe less than 200 ms).

This is the debug http://sprunge.us/BRYM

I hope some of these issues have a solution.

Thanks for any help.

No support by VAAPI.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
#2 the default limited range is intended for TV users. You're using a notebook, and presumably the built-in LCD, so you need to disable limited range.

#3 label the filesystem on your hard drive, and it should be auto mounted using the label name (ie. /var/media/<label> etc) which you can then use when setting up your source. The device (sda, sdb) shouldn't be relevant unless you're trying to mount it yourself, in which case mount using the uuid instead.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Thanks to both of you.

So no VAAPI Support. Not what I expected, but I can live with that.

The notebook is connected vía HDMI to a Denon Avr to an LG tv. The notebook screen is turned off by Kodi setting.

Thanks.

Just came back from vacation and longpress on my bluetooth firetv remote does not work to bring up the context menu with a nuc5c and latest milhouse build.
Saw this post earlier, is this still the way to fix the longpress, or do i need to add a mod=longpress too?

Hello Milhouse & FernetMenta

I have two issues with Libreelec since Jarvis version. I have tested all alpha, all build and OE 6.95.x.

Here is my copnfig :
Motherboard Asus P8h67-i
Intel i3 2120 Sandy bridge with HD graphics 2000
4Go Ram

First Issue :
Currently I'm using LE 7.0.2 and I have stutter when I play a video.
BUT, I don't have this problem with kodibuntu 16.1 or OE 6.0.3. So, I think is an issue with LE or OE Jarvis
I have tested a lot of option like Adjust refresh rate, .... But, I have always the stutter on all video.
This is my paste log with debug activate.

Second Issue :
When I want to open Audio DSP my computer crash. It's impossible to use this add-on for me. I contact Wisler (AudioDSP developper) and he said thaht the version of audioDSP is too old.
It is possible to add more recent version on audio DSP in the next build ?

I post a debug log for the 2 problem
http://pastebin.com/fmEXnVWV

Thanks you for your help
Sorry for this reply but can someone please help me on my first issue ?

Thx Wink

I've queried this PR, it's not clear why it causes a problem (or even if it fixes any issues). Please bear with...

So you have tried the latest test build from this thread? Post a new debug log while using the latest #0827 build. This isn't the 7.0.2 help thread.

Dear Milhouse,

I test the last build i.e 0827. Before doing my test, I do a full reset and I play a mkv 24P movie. I have always a stutter on videos.

Hello Fritsch,

With Adjust refresh rate on, my TV switch in 24Hz mode => Result : Video stutter
With Adjust refresh rate off, my TV is in 60Hz. It's better but not perfect. There is already stutter (Idem in 50Hz)
I test with sync on and off but no change ;(

Thx
The SNB has a hardwarebug, it cannot sync to 23.976 hz correctly. What you can try to do:

Force the output to 24.0 hz (not the 23.976 one) and enable Sync Playback to Display additionally. This will "speed up" the movie to 24 fps and resample audio accordingly.

OK but why can I have a perfect playbay at 60 Hz ?

Thx Fritsch for the reply.

How can I force the output to 24.0 hz ? Maybe code in advancedsettings.xml ?

Thx.

a) Cause at 60 hz SNB hw does not do shit :-)
b) For a test set the refreshrate to 24.0 hz in kodi and disable adjust refreshrate, then play the movie. For longterm, yes: advancedsettings.xml
