v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-09-12, 21:40)porkchop999 Wrote: Have noticed #0912c skipping a frame about every 4 sec playing 23.976, Skylake nuc

Only with #0912c, or did you also see this with #0911?

Assuming you see the frame skipping in #0911 then post your #0911 debug log on the trac ticket. Probably best not to post your #0912c debug log as there are too many experimental variables in this build, it's not a build that is meant for detailed Kodi testing.

Thanks, Milhouse, it is working again.

Adiós.

In addition to the new kernel this build is based on gcc6.2 so may not be compatible with a number of addons. It also uses latest lirc 0.9.5 (master), although IR seems to be working on my NUC.

If the new kernel fixes anything (resume?) or breaks anything (Intel) then please post.

Regular builds will continue with 4.7.3 for the time being.

Hi, i tested this to check if the Radeon RX 460 would work with 4.8 kernel. And i kernel panicked Smile Smile

It's related to th amdgpu i guess. This occurs with the primary device being the processor GPU.
If i enable the RX 460 as primary device on the bios... then i see nothing after boot... black screen.
I was wondering : are the new polaris cards firmware blobs (polaris10*.bin (RX470,RX480), polaris11*.bin(RX460)) in the firmware/amdgpu/ directory ?

Edit : apparently yes, i can see them on github master.
With build #0912 Amazon Prime doesn't work anymore - with #0911 everythings fine.
@Milhouse When 4.8 is finished I would like a build to test on my NUC6i7KYK to see if that fixes that 8-bit patch thing we have been talking about here previosly.

@debutanker - thanks for reporting, yes there is a bug in inputstream.mpd in #0912 that prevents it from playing back encrypted files. It will be fixed tonight in #0913.

Yes the firmware blobs are all there, however I've updated them in PR:730 and will include the updated blobs in tonight's build.

@_Spook_ (and others):

Here is another kernel 4.8-rc6 build, #0913y: Generic.

This #0913y build is essentially the same as the (soon to be published) #0913 build, apart from being based on gcc6.2, and 4.8-rc6 kernel, and it includes the updated binary blobs I mentioned previously (amdgpu, i915, radeon). However the Chris Wilson 8bpc patch is now dropped from #0913y, and replaced with the following 4K patch:

https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/11252

This 4K patch only applies on top of 4.8-rcX so 4.7.3 based builds will continue to use the Chris Wilson 8bpc patch.

This is the last 4.8-rc6 build. I'll upload another 4.8-rc7 build next week once 4.8-rc7 is released.

Cool. I will test it tomorrow on the other NUC. Is the LSPCON patch in there also?

No, dropped it as you said it had no effect.

It had no effect with the 8-bit patch still there. I might get audio passthrough to work with the LSPCON patch in there and no 8-bit patch. But no big issue Smile We can test that more later on when 4.8 is finished.
