v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-10-06, 20:21)Markus_23 Wrote: @milhouse:

just read in libreelec forum, that in their V7.90.006alpha there has been a digitaldevices Cine S2 patch included, which helps using those tv-cards out-of-the-box.

Is this patch also included in your version ?
Still looking forward in testing your version with my hardware (Skylake HD520 + CineS2).

The Terratec Cinergy S2 Revision 3 patch is now included in the mainline 4.8.0 kernel tree, so yes it's included in these builds.

Thanks everyone for all the positive reports - just as useful as "it doesn't work" (and nicer, too!). Smile

Are you saying there's a problem with longpress? Please describe in more detail...

for more info see here: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-1231.html

the system is constantly skipping frames, even with this latest build... it's subtle when watching movies (maybe one or two frames skipped every 10 seconds or so) but I'm noticing it. the command "kodi-send --action=PlayerDebug" confirms my observations.

regards,
michael

I have noticed the same issue on similar hardware for #1005 and #1006, so I have gone back to #1004 and it appears to be less prevalent.

I have also updated every release for the last few weeks and this is the first time I've noticed it, so could it be the latest kodi alpha 4?

Yes, custom xorg.conf is still required.
Thanks (longer term we want to find a solution for that too).

Sorry, I'am asking about DigitalDevices Cine S2 , not Terratec.
Nevertheless there should be a patch integrated in the latest libreelec alpha.

Hello. Sorry for my English, but I use google translator. Please I have a problem. I'm new here and I built a HTPC for movies. I have (i5 6400 Skylake, ASRock MB Sc LGA1151 H170 Pro4, DDR4 DIMM 8 gigabytes 2400MHz CL15 KINGSTON HyperX FURY Black). I would try to install the update from Milhouse but unfortunately does not know how. I have installed LibreELEC (Krypton) v7.90.006 ALPHA and do not know how to update LibreELEC.tv Krypton build # 1007th. I'm sorry, please can you give me some help? Please could you give me simple instructions on how to update? Thank you very much.
Read the first post, there's an "Installing" section.

Thank you very much. So, just copy the tar file into a folder named update? and reboot.? Thank you for your early reply. Please can do that directly in Libreelec via File Manager?
Hello,
since build 1005, I have again video stuttering when watching movies. With build 1004 everything is running smooth. Is it the new Kernel that is causing this issue? Anyone else experiencing this?

@don007: yes, just copy the *.tar into the Update folder and reboot....
