Frame rate issue with DVD menus
#1
There is a very odd problem with NTSC DVD menus. For some reason Kodi switch the display to 50Hz when displaying the menu of the NTSC DVD disc. The only workaround is to switch off the "Adjust display refresh rate" setting. I tested multiple DVDs, the problem occurs with all NTSC DVDs which have static menu. There are no such issues with animated menus. I'm using Raspberry Pi 3 with LibreELEC 7.0.1 (Kodi 16.1). Also tested on a PC with LibreELEC 7.0.1 x86_64 image and a different TV set, same problem there as well.

Thanks for sample. I pinged FernetMenta and he has provided a patch for me.
The fix will be in tonight's Milhouse nightly builds if you are able to test that.

Ok, I just tested the tonight's #0610 build and the issue is now fixed! Thanks again! Any chance this patch will make it into stable Kodi 16.x?

It's not often one sees an OP clearly state their problem AND provide supporting information AND perform some testing all in the first post of their thread Big Grin
And it's great to see the OP had patients to wait for a response without the often seen follow up posts of "... anyone?...". Angel
So kudos to smp1 for a well structered post and kudos to popcornmix and FernetMenta for the solution they provided Nod

Now it's just for this solution to be rolling out in the 16 branch some time soon.

There won't be any fix for v16. Lets focus on v17

Thanks for the headsup Smile

Is it the normal process to not fix the curent stable release and only work on the latest builds?
Just curious Tongue
