v17 Upgrade from Jarvis can cause issues when kodi cache is not deleted
#1
With the help of DaveBlake an issue when upgrading from Jarvis to Krypton was found. Basically it takes a lot of time (up to eight minutes) to open the playlists screen in the music section if the kodi cache was not deleted before running Krypton. I guess not many users will do so, so maybe another solution can be found.

The general problem is that the structure of data written to cache can change between versions, leading cache files created in one version to cause odd problems when another version of Kodi tries to load them. It is not Jarvis/krypton specific or limited just to playlists etc.

I'm glad to say that @Paxxi is looking to fix this general issue in Krypton with PR9225 (and it was him that pointed me to the cause of the slow loading playlist issue - thanks Paxxi)

Meanwhile if you are upgrading (or downgrading) Kodi version and keeping the same userdata (databases, profiles etc.) then do unsure that you delete any cache files named *.fi
