The version field on the wiki pages should just be excluded, since that's normally all that changes for those pages, and they don't really need that info. The pages just exist as a place for further documentation. Per platform compatibility is already listed outside of exact version number.
I would change it, but I literally cannot. Only five people on Team Kodi have access to changing that template, and none of them know how to edit wiki templates. Granted, it's a horrible mess of a template that I had plans on replacing, but so much for that :) (new mediawiki has advanced options that make it possible to keep the pages updated without running any bot script at all, because it pulls data directly from github. zomg!)
In any case, the kodi.tv repo should have whatever the add-on author has submitted. If a newer version is not listed then it is probably because they haven't submitted it yet, or it is currently in the submission process.

I've modified the wiki template to remove the version number.
Please ask the add-on author to submit his new version to the official repo, if they haven't done so already.
EDIT: just read Spoyesers post referenced above. That is a sad state of affairs indeed.

*puts foot in mouth*
I'm honestly happy to be proven wrong when it comes to people stepping up and keeping things going. Thank you.
