Hi folks,

A few days ago I bought a Dragonfly Black DAC. It worked well with 8.2.0.1, but no success with the Leia builds. Any ideas where to look for a solution for this?

I can confirm that I have noticed this at well. In shows it shows really well: it seems like setting current show to watched, toggles previous to unwatched. But in MySQL dB status is watched so a sync set status back to correct settings. Not sure when this behavior has started, but I think 101x ish. Just updated again, will try to keep an eye out.

  2. Add Kodi support for Samba "client min protocol" (allowing SMB1 to be completely disabled), and legacy security
    Quote:The default "Minimum protocol version" is "None" (which means that nothing is configured in /storage/.kodi/smb.conf, causing Samba to default to NT1) and enables the Samba client (ie. Kodi) to negotiate an SMB1 (NT1) connection before negotiating a higher SMB2 protocol version. Negotiating SMB1 first leaves the client vulnerable to a MITM attack (see: here).

    To completely disable SMB1, go to Kodi > Settings > Services > SMB client, and set "Minimum protocol version" to SMB2 (which in LibreELEC will mean SMB2_10 is used as the minimum protocol that can be negotiated). This will ensure the client only negotiates SMB2_10 or better connections.

    The "Use legacy security" option is enabled when "Maximum protocol version" is set to SMB1, and disables the NTLMv2 and spnego security features, weakening security but ensuring a working connection with outdated Samba servers that are still, sadly, being shipped in current devices (ie. ASUS routers). Needless to say don't enable this option unless you need it.

I have had this issue with Argus TV since it was re-enabled #1118.
 Live TV plays OK
 If I use File Manger to navigate the Recorded TV ts files they play OK
 From Argus client selecting a show from “Recordings” it does not play and the Kodi log has the following errors19:44:59.736 T:1516962704   ERROR: AddOnLog: ARGUS TV client: FileReader::OpenFile(), open file \\HTPC1\4TR Recorded TV\ABC News\ABC News_ABC HD_2017-11-18_19-00.ts failed.19:44:59.736 T:1516962704   ERROR: AddOnLog: ARGUS TV client: CTsReader::OpenFile failed.
 Recorded TV works fine from the same source using Kodi v17.6ts File source is Windows 7
 I am using the default SMB settings in this v18 release, though I have tried to limit it to SMB 1 only but with the same results.
 Is this the correct forum to report this or can you direct me to the correct forum?

I'm getting intermittent Kodi crashes when switching from AVC encoded video to HEVC 10-bit video (the crash happens immediately when I start playing HEVC-10 video). Those crashes are easily reproducible and I believe the last good build is #0912 (I can reproduce the issue with #0913 and newer and can't reproduce with #0912 and older.).

How to reproduce:
1) Play Sample 1 (AVC).
2) During the playback of Sample 1 start the playback of Sample 2 (HEVC-10).
3) Repeat until it crashes (usually takes less that 10 attempts).

I can reproduce. Looks like the async open means that second file starts while first is still playing.
The issue is advanced deinterlace uses the QPUs. So does HEVC decode and we are getting a deadlock.

I suspect that disabling deinterlace (or switching from advanced to bob) will work around the issue for now.
I'll try to find a proper solution.
