v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
Hi guys,

the addon service mpd is not starting in #0709 and nothing suspicious in the logs (https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/BpHZY4S4Jb/)

I tried to start mpd manually and got the following error
bash:

LibreELEC:/ # /storage/.kodi/addons/service.multimedia.mpd/bin/mpd --no-daemon config/mpd.conf
/storage/.kodi/addons/service.multimedia.mpd/bin/mpd: error while loading shared libraries: libnfs.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The installed version of libnfs is libnfs.so.12.

Thanks!

Noted. You'll need to go back to the last working build, or wait for the next update of the LE9 repository (no, I don't know when that will be).

I moved my pi3b+ to my bedroom and installed #710 and i'm amazed that playing hevc my pi stays nice at 60 degrees.
But i'm wondering bcmstat.sh shows 1200 mhz and core 500mhz while in config.txt arm_freq=1450 and sdram_freq=580 gpu_freq=500 and force_turbo=1

It looks like hevc playback is much more improved?

The ARM will now be limited to 1200MHz when the temperature reaches 60C. You can restore the original 70C limit by adding temp_soft_limit=70.

Thank you for this.
Is extra overclocking needed for this?
I have set my sdram to 580

No, it just restores the old temperature limit.

• Using #630 when playing videos the amp indicates it is receiving Dolby Digital or DTS correctly
• Using #701 onwards the amp shows PCM for videos that are being correctly identified by #630.

However from #701 onwards
• If I disable audio Passthrough in Settings and then enable it again it makes no difference all shows are detected as PCM
• If I disable audio Passthrough in the playing video and then enable it again the audio is detected as Dolby Digital or DTS as appropriate
• After this If I stop the video  and start it again the audio may be detected correctly some of the time but not always

I am using a RPI 3. I have been updating daily for some months and have only seen this issue since #701
The following PR added in #0701 has audio implications, so could be responsible:

Are you saying you have the same issue? I guess it will help if others can reproduce. To my knowledge nobody has looked into it (yet) - they undoubtedly have other priorities.

Maybe a silly question but I have an older build from June (been out of town). If I choose the latest build from 'Available Versions', does it install all updates from between my installed version and the build I chose? Or do I have to install every update one by one ever since?
If one by one, can I place all updates from between my installed version and the latest build to the 'Updates' folder via Samba? So it would install them all in next reboot?
Just choose the latest build version. Libreelec will be updated to that nightly.
Server: Ubuntu Server 22TB HDD running SAMBA
Kodi: 4 Raspberry Pi 3 running Libreelec -  on the main PC - running Linux Mint
