After hard reseting my system and bringing it back to same status level as before, everythings working like a charm but i couldnt get my imon vfd back to life....
Installed lcdprog (selected imon) and xbmclcdprog (like i did it before many times) but my vfd still stays completely black.
Anybody with any hints for me ---> http://sprunge.us/ACiS ?

No idea, I just create these builds, I try not to add the bugs and it's generally not my responsibility to fix them.

When you originally posted about this I asked you for a debug log (wiki) which you failed to provide, and your log above is also not a debug log. You seem to have an issue providing what you've been asked for, maybe this is why your bug reports are eventually ignored?

I'll ask the question I often ask: which is the first build with this problem?

And if you would like to provide a link to your debug log (wiki) (please don't post log snippets to the forum) then maybe a developer will take an interest. Or open an issue on trac.kodi.tv.

I would suggest starting a thread on the LibreELEC forum - I'm not sure what state the lcdproc add-on is in with regard to Kodi 18a1. Post "journalctl -a | pastebinit" in your thread as that might include useful information. You should also include your lcd config.

I've restrained myself from posting the past week or so regarding an ongoing weirdness with samba shares but somethings amiss and nobody is mentioning it so thinking it might be a genuine issue my end.

After a full "hard" reset no samba shares are visible from libreleec so cannot add any videos via smb protocol. This behaviour has been happening on and off the past month or so since the change to samba with respect to adding those extra options about security. Anyway at this point no amount of switching which protocol version 1/2/3 etc makes any difference.
The box is fully browsable by ssh smb as server etc.

Am I missing some extra step we need to do to make samba work properly?

WOW, that is amazing work from developers, bitstream audio for DTS-HD and DOLBY TRUE HD works with my NUC Kaby Lake, that is realy great, many thanks for all participated developers! There is just one format, which does not work at all. Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3). Can someone send this info to participated developers? (i dont know, who is exactly working on HBR patch for Kaby Lake and Apolo Lake). Many thanks again :-)

FF and rewind are also working just great, also with keep sound device alive option disabled :-) Great.

For everyone, who has problems with bitstream - DD+ and other issues - dont forget update HDMI firmware on your KL NUCs... I missed, that this is necessarily for bitstream audio correct working. After update FW to 1.66 works everything for me... Unfortunately, update FW is possible just under Win10 64 bit, but its just 30 minut to process...
