v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
@Milhouse did you get chance to look at my crash log?

 with current multi-channel receivers from Denon, Onkyo and Pioneer, the bitstream output of DTS High Resolution (DTS-HRA) audio output does not work.
This bug was fixed in the LAV filters as of version 0.71.x and tested with current multi-channel receivers from Denon, Onkyo and Pioneer.
 (Intel NUC / Windows 10 / Media Player Classic V1.7.16)
 Is it possible to fix the bug in Kodi 18?

LibreELEC is a Linux-based distribution, not Windows, so it doesn't use the LAV Filters package - are you posting in the wrong thread?

I've just tested a Skylake based NUC6i5SYH with #0501 (configured with 5.1 output) connecting over HDMI into an Onkyo TX-NR828 AVR and I'm able to bitstream DTS-HRA (96KHz sample) without any issue - the DTS-HRA lamp on the AVR is lit. DTS-HD MA is also bitstreaming without a problem.

So in LibreELEC on Linux (at least for Skylake, also my Revo 3700 with Nvidia ION2) there is no bug to be fixed as far as I can tell.

I've just tested a Kaby Lake based NUC7i3BNH with #0501 (configured with 5.1 output) connecting over HDMI into an Pioneer SC-LC501 / Onkyo TX-RZ820 and I'm not able to bitstream DTS-HRA.

Testfile:

The Digital Theater
 -> SFX Short (Lossless) - 1080p H.264 (MKV) - DTS-HD HR 7.1 48 kHz
 -> Orchestra Short (Lossless) - 1080p H.264 (MKV) - DTS-HD HR 7.1 48 kHz

all other ok ..

DTS, DTS-HD MA and DTS:X -> no problem
Dolby AC3, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos -> no problem
Known. Pioneers / Yamahas and some others have issue receiving HR the way we package them. Currently no WIP to solve that ... if someone wants to solve it: Don't send DTS-HD HR with 8 channels 192 khz but package it in lower frequency IEC packages, see: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/issues/167
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

 Yes - kodi does neither use LAV filters, nor does a kodi developer currently work on this issue. That's what I said. Volunteers welcome :-)

@DarrenHill

I apologize, I misspoke.  The Skin I switched to was Estuary not Covenant.  I realize Covenant is a banned addon.  I forgot to check the name of that Skin before I posted.  I do not have Covenant installed on my system.  I will gladly upload a clean log file.  Please let me know which file to send and I'll upload it.

Cheers!
How can I disable the PR2679? After build #0501 I can´t shutdown my pc with a one click on my remote. Now only the shutdown menu pops up.

Can you determine the first build that has this sluggish behaviour?

I know this isn't related as fritsch has already explained the underlying issue, but when you say "configured with 5.1 output" why does your screenshot show that only 2.0 is configured, and not 5.1?

Side note: Kodi has a screenshot function - press PrintScrn on a keyboard, or in ssh run kodi-send --action=screenshot or texturecache.py screenshot. There's a Screenshot Samba share for the purpose of accessing screenshots.

What settings are configured in Settings > System > Power Saving ?

Can you enable debug logging, reboot, press your power button, then upload your log.

Sorry missed your post. Looks like it might be Python related, can you test with tonight's build which includes more Python re-use fixes?

Last 2 builds (502 and 503) killed my netflix plugin. Attempting to get debug log but system freezes. Here is what I copied before I rebooted.
