v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
(2018-06-04, 10:30)tavoc Wrote: Hi @Milhouse

would it be possible to do a "test" release with Kernel 4.17? I read that it implements HDCP.
Would this kernel enable 1080p streams in Kodi for Netflix and Amazon? See commits from 2018.01.08 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ker...romium.org
No. Entire userspace chain is missing.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
So default skin works.
No crashes.
Since 0602 I cant use other skins.
Both of the other skins I use, Grid and Estuary Mod are broken.

Same here.....and it looks like it's been fixed and will just need Milhouse to put it in

Has anyone tested this on a Raven Ridge build yet? I have it working with Ubuntu 18.04 and hesitant to wipe it if there is no success.

  • AMD 2200G APU on Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WIFI-CF
  • RPI3 x2 | RPI2 x2
NAS: FreeNAS (Latest Stable) | NFS/CIFS
You can boot LibreELEC from a memory stick. Write the 8.2.5 image to a memory stick, then copy the latest SYSTEM and KERNEL files from my latest tar file to the root of the memory stick. Boot the memory stick in your Raven Ridge system, and choose either live or run modes.

There are a lot of changes between Kodi 17 and Kodi 18.

Refresh rates are now handled very differently in Kodi 18 to Kodi 17, search this thread for "whitelist".

Your debug log(s) should hopefully include information about your hardware that might give someone an idea why your maximum resolution is now 1440x576p in LE9.
