v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
Unfortunately your #1016x log with log_buf_len=16M is truncated, which isn't surprising as you waited over 15 minutes before uploading it. I'm not going to be able to progress this without a *complete log* that includes the initial boot process, plus any error.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Unfortunately that's not a complete log - it doesn't look like you've added log_buf_len=16M (if you have then you've added it to the wrong file).

FYI; I'm also having the same issue in the recent builds, on a Asus Chromebox CN60, so the issue isn't isolate to @jmerrilljr or his network switch.  The following keeps repeating:
I have the same "buffering" problems with a Asus Chromebox M004U with the latest builds.

Without two complete before/after kernel logs I'm not wasting any time on it. I won't be asking again.

For those with the artifacts. It will be fixed by: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/14852 - discussion is still ongoing, so there might still be some minors to fix.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I found the #1022 build to be the last without these issues.

Guys, I just want a clean, complete, kernel log (dmesg|pastebinit) from #1016/#1016x.

My plan, assuming I don't lose the will to live, is to send these logs to a kernel developer who will have no interest in any of the Kodi/Samba/systemd noise. Using #1016/#1016x as a comparison means the only difference between the before/after kernel logs is the switch from 4.18.14 to 4.19-rc8 (although apparently this issue started with 4.19-rc1, ie. #0827x). Please, do as I ask or fix this yourselves...

Oh, btw 4.20-rc2 is out, might be worth giving that a whirl.
