Hay, im running OpenElec 7.0 its the latest release of this software on my "Raspberry Pi 3"

When i watch on a movie that is x264 and the subtitle are inside the movie and not in an srt or any other im not sure about the one whit the "sub" folder when its external but when its actully embedded in the movie file it be a bit of a problem.

The image comes actully under the tv-screen and you can´t use it and need to fix an SRT for it, strange as when you use SRT it works perfect!

Another things that actully bug me is as you can see on the image its "full screen" and you can´t force it to be a "widescreen" other then that i don´t have any problem whit the software.

Anton, glad you don't have any problems with the software. Hit the 'Z' key on the keybaord to change the zoom, it kinda looks like you haven't set the screen size correctly. When you put an .srt subtitle file with the movie, you have complete command of it. But inside the movie, most of the subtitle options are preset and if the subtitles are merged with the image, then you get what has been encoded. Check in our tools section, for MKVmerge which will manipulate internal subtitles if they're in the container unencumbered. MKVToolNix (wiki)

I can tell you that when i change the Z i don´t have a keyboard on it but its same when you change screensize nothing happens, the subtitle still remain on the same place.

I do get a smaller screen on 4:3, thats the only mode that change the screen, but the subtitle remain on the same place.

I did try to extract the subtitle from the mkv file whit "MKVExtract" and got the vob file and idx file for it, load it manually insted of direct from the mkv file but the subtitle still remain on the same place.

I can also tell that same movie on my computer works perfect whit the embedded subtitle, whit (Kodi 16.1 Jarvis) so something is really strange here.

Have you tried to move the subtitle position using the OSD while the video is paused? Subtitles (wiki) Check this thread http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=266863 In settings/video/subtitles what do you have "Subtitle position on screen set to"?

That did not fix my problem, i do think this is a bug, as it works as i espect it to work on the computer.

When you have a 1080 movie that has black unused space and the top and the bottom the embedded subtitles works perfect
