I gave up using ad blockers as standard Firefox now seems to block nearly all those annoying adverts without the extra hassle this can cause.
I just check: block ‘Trackers’, and ‘Dangerous/Deceptive Content’, in Firefox preferences.
Cheers

Yes. I hadn’t noticed before that the Background button at Home> Customise Home Menu > Videos (etc) > Background, is not now working

Amazing work Alanon. I feel for all the effort you're putting in here! With that in mind I hate to pose yet another problem however I am trying to get this to work on my Nvidia Shield and the only Kodi files I can see are located within the Profile directory (I am having to use the Kodi File Manager to do the file operations). The Eminence Skin folder is present under the addon_data folder however it doesn't have an extras folder so I created one and copied the files across. Tried to do everything else you outlined above but still doesn't seem to want to build the menu. Wish I go back to RC4 as it was all working beautifully there.

On android, you might need a different file explorer or better yet ssh to the device
the location of addons for kodi on android is, from the top of my head, /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons

Actually, you are indeed correct, the location of the folder /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons is in user space, it doesn't require supersu/root privileges to access and modify. The hidden files toggle should make the folder viewable.
