T95Z PLUS and Kodi 17 Resolution issue PLEASE HELP
#1
I previously posted and it was removed, it was because i bought this box and it was preloaded and i wasn't aware silent hunter was illegal i have since removed kodi and Reinstalled krypton.
I have a T95Z Plus box with kodi 17, and im using a 4k TV with HDR, the resolution on the box is set to 4k at 60hz and displays Netflix in 4k yet when Kodi boots up the resolution is set to 1080p at 60hz and the option to change this is greyed out, please help when it was on kodi 16 the resolution was 4k now on 17 its stuck to 1080p
Please help

Are sure you are not getting 4k video out? as the GUI is locked to 1080p and that maybe what you're seeing being reported, see http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=261768 this will tell you if youu are getting actual 4k video out.

Im sure because Netflix gives 4k output but the sample 4k files i have on my box only display in 1080p using the jodi media player Sad

What are you relying on to tell you that you are getting 1080p? have you tried the test file from the post I linked to?

Be carefull with kodi on android: GUI is 1080p so it will be what kodi will return to you as used resolution

I am using the kodi GUI to tell me my resolution because on kodi 16 on the same box said 4k in the video calibration menu and now all i get is 1080 and the test file before is at 1080 that u linked me too so i don't understand its a 4k TV on a t95z plus that is set to 4k @ 60hz and all i get on kodi 17 is 1080p and its locked

Render method is set to auto detect and is greyed out and CANT be changed
Enable hq scalers for scaling above is set to 20%
Allow hardware acceleration mediacodec surface is enabled
Allow hardware acceleration mediacodec os enabled

As Mediacodec Surface is enabled then we'll need the debug log that has previously been requested.
