Release Omni 2.x for Leia
#61
(2019-02-18, 10:33)blackwind Wrote: I just upgraded to Kodi 18 and was dismayed by the current state of Omni:
  • Kodi 18 version isn't available on official repo
  • Skin isn't compatible with Kodi 18 final
  • Skin isn't configurable in the current development version
  • Developer isn't using GitHub Releases, making finding the last configurable version difficult
  • There are additional steps required to install the last configurable version
Figured I'd make this easier for folks in the future:

https://openload.co/f/mCEBPQLRplI/omni-classic.zip

Download, unzip omni-classic.zip, install the zips inside in alphabetical order(!), choose Omni as your skin in Settings > Interface, and you should be up and running with all your previous customizations in place.
 Many thanks!

The submenu customization section isn't working for me... yours work?

It seems like it adds and removes top-level menu items just fine, but the submenus don't get saved. This is probably why the author removed Skin Shortcuts in the first place, and presumably, it won't be getting fixed.

hello, first the skin is very good, and I wanted to ask if it is possible to add custom elements to the start menu.
Thank you

Out of curiousity, which git commit hash did you use and which version of skinshortcuts did you use?  I'm about to checkout the version just before the author bumped the skinshortcuts depency version to 1.9.0.  I'm guessing https://github.com/braz96/skin.omni/tree...76e6db33af and skinshortcuts-master-1.0.18.  Your omni-classic.zip link is dead and I'm wondering what other steps must be taken to get this skin installed.  Thanks!

Hi, can someone post a link so I can download the omni-classic.zip file? I used to have it on a thumb drive that got lost. Openload is no longer so that link doesn't work.

Hi guys, I've forked Omni from an old commit and restored shinshortcuts and custom widgets functionality (saving works!). Will be backporting and adding fixes to it.

https://github.com/daedalusbln/skin.omni202

Zips at: https://daedalusbln.github.io/repo/

There's also a working Mimic skin I worked on in there.

Have fun!

"Fixed" that by rolling back to a previous commit, check out my fork!

Seems it works very well.
Needed to assigns widgets again but working well.
It's necessary to install Skin Shorcuts from official repo (not the included in my zip)

Fork was just updated to v1.0.1, fixed ExtendedInfo integration and a couple of other things. Will create an installable repository so you can get updates automatically tomorrow if all goes well.
