Series: handle episodes on DVD-iso files
#1
I have a series on DVD. A season with 24 episodes is stored on 7 discs - for example.
tmm doesn't recognize the episodes. Is there a way to handle this?

For me it would be no problem if e.g. the first 4 epsiodes point to the same DVD-iso file.
Ripping the DVD-iso to have one file per episode is not a solution for me.

Same as your other post.
Name your ISO like that (or your Episode/DVD/video folder):
S01E01_S01E02_S01E03_S01E04.iso
Drawback - when clicking on an episode, the DVD with menu is ALWAYS shown.
And you have to choose again the episode - not intuitive.
Continous play every episode inside Kodi doesn't work also.

I prefer this way:
Split the DVD into own video files!
Easier handling in TMM and easier navigation and direct start in Kodi.

On windows i'm doing this with MakeMKV, which does a direct stream copy of the video tracks.
So the "ripping" is as fast as copying!
It's not that much work, but you will see the benefit after you did one Wink

Great! That is how I like it. Thank you very much.

I tried your solution to solve another problem. The last DVD of a season has episode #25 and some extras on it.
So I tried "S07E25_extras.iso" (and without the "s"). But this file, #25 or the extras doesn't appear in tmm.
