Kodi play h264 since 2007 just fine

First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Yes, from Kodi's Wiki page, we get the information that you can direct play H.264 MP4 files on Kodi without any format transcoding.
