Hi guys

Been running KODI (Windows 10 64) for ages on my old 1080p TV with no issues. I've now bought a new tv (LG 55C7V) that is 4K. Although I am still outputting 1080p from my HTPC, I am getting a huge increase in graphics load when outputting to the new TV. Same content, same resolution, same PC and graphics card. As far as I can tell the TV must be causing this then? But the issue doesn't appear when playing back through VLC. Is the TV communicating with KODI? somehow asking it for more information or to sync or something? I'm getting dropped frames because the load is so high. Hoping to change some setting to reduce it.

Any ideas welcome!

Maybe you are switching to a 4K resolution at playback start with Kodi? Check the resolution whitelist if you are using v18.

Post a debug log (wiki) of your issue.  That will probably reveal what is going on.

It's most likely the load rendering 60 fps with 4K and a lots of repaints.
