Now new over 40+ movies with over 60+ sets cataloged , sorted and avaiable over KyraDB API. Most from 2019 to mid 2020. Also some older i discovered.
320 movies with 500+ sets now in. Just browse in the LIST direct click into it or just scroll from HERE backwards to browse the newest updates.

Cause i am a huge fan of female focussed super heroe movies i really recommend to give a look the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 (2020),  Black Widow (2020)Birds of Prey (2020) sets.

I noticed since project "founding" already some skins implemented it. For example @latts9923 Aeon MQ 7 Krypton and Leia Mod and MQ 8 Mod, also @manfeed Aeon Tajo & Aeon MQ 8 Tajo,
@mikeSiLVO Aeon Nox: SiLVO and as i can right remember also @bsoriano Amber experimented with it. But i have to admit i lost overview so please inform in the skin related threads first and maybe i've forgotten some.
Also i don't know how deep the implementation is, but i can say the most deepest implementation i saw was in Aeon Tajo, also working with Wall Views, not only List Views.

You still have to place the files yourself, for the automate way an ArtworkBeef integration is pending and no idea if it will ever happen -> https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2877749

Also experimenting on a port of the yet collected cataloged content for actor (role) label matching
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FujIWKihFNU

But that's another future story...

have fun

Looking nice!  Cool Seldom see the stuff outside my developer skin!
Cause i registered you have connections to fanart.tv guys. Maybe you can convince them for a section for polished Character Poster sets.
I like fanart.tv much, but really gave it up with the "CEO's" there. That's why am doing my own stuff now under the Kyra brand name.
A place for the stuff fanart.tv not want (even before could explain the concept saying no)

Sets are more focussed on original published content from movie advertising companies. Fanart.tv struggles keeping a basic community for retouched main posters. and it was a long way there.
So it's complete unrealistic build and provide a whole library of whole "polished copies from original" sets.
Then also getting muddle like TMDB poster libary, mixing original and polished copies together, getting in kodi original poster in case views and polished in intented poster views. horrible.
Of course also the advertising companies sometimes releasing polished material without billing clock stuff and it's also in the collection. Of course unique transversions from foreign languages and unique self creations always nice.

BTW when googling images for character posters, in contrary to other Kyra Projects, results are far beyond from listened on top, but for any reason the Terminator 2 set is on toppest to find.
So i guess google algorithm recognized it's a complete new creation. Is it? Never saw this set in any way.
Don't know what the most common title logo in your language is... on my DVD's and Blu-Rays (all english) it's this -> https://fanart.tv/fanart/movies/280/hdmo...27e7d0.png
Maybe you have time and desire make an version with this logo  Smile

This is of course a matter of taste, some people like posters "as is", others without too much information. I belong to the second. That's why I asked if polished posters are needed here.
There are two problems on fanart.tv.
1. @Kode need help. He repeatedly asked people who understand scripts, developments, etc. He does not have so much time to do it all alone. On the old site (at the moment) does not have many opportunities to change something in the structure. And since there are no people to help him, he suspended the project with a new site. And on the old site, as I understand it, he no longer wants to bother.
2. It flows from the first. Posters on fanart.tv with a size of 1000x1426, and in KODY new rules - 1000x1500 (2: 3). On many skins, posters with fanart.tv stretch to 1500, the original posters have the same problem, they always have different proportions.

I made the logo completely from scratch (my font + photoshop) based on movie screenshots.

Really nice and thanks!
I know you're very .xml skilled but don't know when you have the last time played around with multiimage stuff. Multiimage handling is still frustrating to get work and look nice and implement a clean way.
There are several ways to achieve. When playing around with it just look into the skin codes of @latts9923 skins or @manfeed skins, he also achieved an implementation in wall views with a bit of skin hacking.
I've only implemented it in list views on my side with normal multiimage control but with the help of ArtworkHelper and "concealed" the glitchy/buggy multiimage parts with a bit creativity  Big Grin

Also would need more backup from the skinner guys for more requests in AB thread to achieving an implementation in ArtworkBeef for the easy automate way in the future Cool https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2877749

There was a need to divide the posters into original and retouched / polished in KyraDB. There are some questions:
1. Are retouched / polished needed or not?
2. What are the requirements for retouched / polished posters?
2. What is the name of the new section? Image

Here are some variations of the names:

Textless Character Posters
Custom Character Posters
---------------------------------------------------------------
Original Character Poster & Retouched Character Poster
---------------------------------------------------------------
  • Character Poster (Original)
  • Character Poster (Retouched)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Character Poster
Original
Retouched

I would like to hear the opinions of members of the forum.

Thanks

if it will added, i would leave this section alone and combine/summarize these the same way as the icons section wich has also subtypes
...it's only an indicator and a shortcut
___

at first, "polished" content was never intended cause we thought to get never really content or even content creators to it.
Then i would go a step further and also include character keyart
___

Benefits: There are fans of original content and also fans of "cleaned up" content.
Since early kodi ages the poster type was intented as original poster, but then fanart.tv came and in almost every skin also DVD/Blu-Ray Case views.
i personal prefer original poster in poster views and fanart.tv poster in case views.
Except a language tag the main original poster content source TMDB have no convensions at all...
But the title only posters on fanart.tv the conventions are very strict.

Polished poster could be a great benefit for people prefer a "cleaner look" and also want use it case views.
Also keyart is pretty nice to use in skin in background use.

But in my personal opinion it should be strict distuingished!
Else there will be a mess up like TMDB: There is all mixuped! Original Poster, Polished Poster, DVD/Blu-Ray Cover, complete self made artstyle stuff... Horrible!
___
I would split the character poster section same like the icons section to 3 subtypes: Character Poster (Original), Character Poster (Polished), Character Poster (Keyart)
Also store this in the API. Then on the endpoint this could be distinguished and people can get there content they prefer, example:
i want polished only; or i want polished only and if not there fallback to original...

The thing is if we would now just mix together we get lot of dublicates. A voting system is there so on bulk/batch scrape the highest voted (if more than one there) this will be scraped.
Then they will get every time different types and we have a mess up like TMDB  Rofl

For testing purpose i've uploaded an example where all is there, it's looking pretty nice in my opinion, but needs definitely a System and distingushed! -> https://www.kyradb.com/movie/40319

I think this should be no problem. I still need to learn for an exam, but after that I will start working on it.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)  - the size (2000x3000), aspect ratio (2:3)
The Last Warrior (2017) (The Last Knight - this is not the correct name, must be fixed in KyraDB) - the size (2000x3000), aspect ratio (2:3)
