Downloaded from kodi site,  .dmg file gets as far as verifying then fails to bring up the blue drag into the applications folder window - simply stops at that point. Have tried using control - open and rebooting mac - same result. Any suggestions ?

Do you have the "Kodi" drive on your Desktop?
You can also find it on the "Computer" section of your Finder, to open it, open a new Finder window then use the "CMD + Shift + C" shortcut. You can see your hard drive and also the "Kodi" drive.
If "Kodi" drive is not here, try to open again the DMG file.

Courtesy of a power cut it seems a full power off shut down rather than restart does the trick. Still needs Ctrl Open as it's an unknown developer.

Short answer yes there is a Kodi drive - have just found a solution - needs a full power down reboot rather than restart.
