v18 Best filesharing way for kodi
#1
I have some movies and tv shows in my pc, and i want to put them on kodi  on other devices, i think is best way filesharing (maybe only).
But, how to do this, i know i can share files from my pc, but my pc is not turned on all the time, i cant figure out how to set DLNA on my router.
So i think its best way to but wifi flash drive, what u think? Do u have other ideas? Maybe some cloud ways?

You can get routers that you can attach USB storage and share to the network.  Make sure the router supports SMB2/3  (not SMB1) or NFS. Avoid UPNP/DLNA for best experience.

Otherwise you can get a NAS box, or if on a budget and you don't want to replace your router you can make a DIY NAS with something like a Raspberry Pi

Lots of options basically

I recommend you do some research, think about

What usable capacity you want
What redundancy you want - do you care if a drive fails
Whether you want a simple turnkey solution (like a NAS box which is easier to set up) or want to DIY build something yourself

Personally I've got 2x physical servers with 15TB storage, RAID redundancy and also mirror my files between them.  This isn't cheap (probably about £3000 worth of kit when new) but works for me.

On the other hand you can get a router with a USB hard drive for storage

I have Xiaomi Router 3g and put usb, and on phone it works great.
But on firestick and tablet, it just dont work, i do everything i can, but none of them dont find my usb.
So i looking for other ways. I think 1tb for start it will be awesome for me, buy if i find a way to fix this on tablet and firestick i will be happy.
