If that works, then the issue has already been found and fixed.

If still not work, 2.4.5 builds are here:

Sorry to be a noob but does anyone know what version I need for RPi 3 and 4?

Well I just tried each of them and none of them will install.

Anyone have any ideas?

Pretty much sit pretty and wait like me. But as much as I love the addon on my rPi3 setup. I'll continue to use it if and when it works. But it really is just easier to buy a roku stick for around $30/$40 with the holidays coming. Everyone's going to have sales.

But I turned off auto update on isa and sling to prove a point that I have to wait for assuming I just don't drop it all together.

It died on my Pi3 and 2 Pi4's.
The wifie is crying up a storm to get her TV back. I hope they get a fix soon.

Trust me I feel the pain. With covid and most ppl staying home for that pr other reasons, 4+ let alone one day without TV is just bleh.

I love the addon I really do, but while it doesnt happen all the time. It happens often enough that i sadly suggest ppl look at roku's as a backup and/or alternative.

Whether its ebay or another vendor, a one time cost be it $20 or $40 for the Streaming Stick+ is worth it just to have the peace of mind.

I figured it out!, Atleast on my Pi-3
I went into the inputstream adaptive and turned off updated, then in Settings/Repert/ I checked the only option and was giving a list and 2.4 was in there. Picked it and ininstalled. I did have to reboot bt now it is working

Correction!
1) Turn off updates.
2) In Settings go to Expert
3) check Enable Pre-release
4) Click OK
5) Click update
That gave me the list of versions to pick from

I hope it helps you too

I'll try the prerelease thing in a bit when I have more free time outside of making a reply here or there. But even if it does work.

Having something to fall back on that's guaranteed to work still isn't a bad idea.

just going off the add-on source, you could try

IPTV Merge > Playlist > Add > URL > http://127.0.0.1:9999/channels.m3u
IPTV Merge > EPG > Add > URL > http://127.0.0.1:9999/guide.xml

then turn off "Enable EPG into IPTV" in Sling settings.

Or, could try adding a new .iptv_merge file in the sling add-on dir with the following contents instead of above
Code:
{
    "version":  3,
    "playlist": "http://127.0.0.1:9999/channels.m3u",
    "epg":      "http://127.0.0.1:9999/guide.xml"
}
That should allow you to use the nicer Add > Add-on method.

Note: Untested as I don't have a sling login
Hi Matt,

I am using both the Tvheadend HTSP Client and the Sling add-on within Kodi. The problem that I have noticed when running both at the same time is that the Sling channels are always disappearing and I would keep having to update the PVR IPTV Simple Client to get them back so I decided to give IPTV Merge a try and it installed successfully. I created the .iptv_merge file in the sling add-on directory and did Add > Add-on method and that added a URL to the playlist and EPG. I also setup the IPTV Simple Client and then did a 'Run Merge' and after it finished I didn't see any guide data so I checked the EPG section and the URL to guide.xml was in red and the error message is 'not well-formed (invalid token): line 41779, column 30'. Do you have any idea's of what could be wrong? It would be great if I could get this add-on working and it fixes the problem of the Sling channels always disappearing.
So I have been using IPTV Merge with the Sling addon + Tvheadend client for a little over a week now and I am still experiencing the Sling channels disapearing although nowhere near as often. I noticed that when the Sling channels do disappear, I have to setup the IPTV Simple Client and then perform a "Run Merge" in order to bring them back.

for others, you should be able to just install this version of the add-on with the fix included:

Do you have updated links for this fix or is there a new fix out here somewhere?

oh, the author merged my PR so it's fixed in the actual code now.

He hasn't released a new version, but until then you can just download the git code:

Believe it when I see it, been using a roku stick since this mess started. Might just continue to do so.

Well I tried that and it worked! Downloading guide info like normal (which, your fix did too).

But it still isn't actually playing the channel, still getting the 404 error related to widevine (I think) so I tried updating widevine again and no dice. Is there a fix for this yet?

Your trolling - stop replying if your not even using it!
Users like you make people like me not want to help get it working

@Data_Stream
There is a bug in latest Inputstream Adaptive that needs to be fixed and a new version pushed.
The IA developer is a bit busy with real life it seems over the last few weeks. Hopefully back soon to fix.
Even if a fix is done, IA is built-in Android Kodi Leia. And no newer Leia version to be released so be tricky!
