The add-on does a connection test to determine the connection to use, `Clear caches` should retry that test.
If you enable debug log (wiki)ging and clear caches you'll be able to see the test in the log if you suspect it is choosing incorrectly.

There is no automatic deletion in the add-on atm, but you can delete things. You need to enable Settings - Look and Feel - Show the 'Delete' context menu.

I run Composite on a few boxes around my house. I've installed 1.0.1 alpha and have noticed a difference between how it behaves on Kodi 18.5 and 17.6.

On 17.6, music (mp3 in my case) accessed by folder doesn't find anything to play. Reverting to 1.0.0 cures the problem.  On 18.5 the mp3 files continue to be found.

On both versions, Tv and Movies can be accessed by folder. Thanks for this, @anxdpanic. I look forward to 1.0.1 beta.

I try on my W10 with Kodi 18.6 with default settings..i can sign in, i can select master server and server connect but in main menu i cant see any of my media folders...
In log file i found this ERROR:

ERROR: C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\plugin.video.composite_for_plex\resources\lib\composite_addon\plex\plexserver.py:629: FutureWarning: The behavior of this method will change in future versions.  Use specific 'len(elem)' or 'elem is not None' test instead.

With PlexKodiConnect everything work... can somebody help me :-(

Please ignore what I said about music not being found in Kodi 17.6 in my post that's 2 up from this. I've tried again and all is well. I've no idea what caused the problem originally, perhaps my server was having a wobble.

I hope I've not messed you about too much.

Would need a complete debug log (wiki) to see what is happening, that warning is unrelated (but will be fixed).
Before posting the log in the thread I would sanitize it a bit first. Find and replace any server ips with .'s or -'s, and any *Token=<token>. The add-on hides this as best as possible but some leaks through with Kodi's logging. You're also welcome to pm the link to the log

Composite is available from the official repository for Matrix/Kodi 19 as well. As long as that build is based on a current nightly it should work without issue.

Continuing on the topic of music tracks not being found. I attributed it wrongly to differences between Kodi 17 and 18. I have just recreated the problem on 18 and have defined it a bit better now.

It turns out that the tracks aren't found in 'by folder" IF there's a lyrics directory in the folder. The folder view is just showing the directory called lyrics. I can't explain why but deleting the lyrics directory doesn't fix it, composite still shows the lyrics directory.

On a separate topic, can gapless playback be made to work i.e the transition between tracks 1 and 2 on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon?

Thanks, work now but i cant see any of my 11 folders... folders Channels, Plex Online, Playlist and Widgets are empty... what can i do :-(
