Universal remote for Kodi box and TV?
#1
Wondering if there is something affordable (don't want to go Harmony for this setup) that can control an Kodi box (ugoos X2) and
TCL tv.

HDMI-CEC is not allowing me to control the box, and I would like to have a single remote.

I don’t own it, but I am considering ordering this with my ugoos box. I also own a TCL tv. You can teach commands to this remote so I have a few ideas I can hopefully make it work.

According to the description it does have learning function so you can teach it commands from your roku remote and your ugoos remote.

Another good option is the inteset ir remote. It’s pretty bulky and heavy and can control four devices.. price is around $20-30 depending on where you are.

Look into JP1 compatible remotes.. apparently with a little DIY you can teach these remotes all sorts of stuff and get them to do whatever harmony overpriced products can..

There is also flirc, if you want a bit of mix and match solution. I have used FLIRc USB devices for a long time and they work really well..

Appreciate it thanks.  Haven't had much time lately to mess with it.
