Black Screen Firestick 4K Live TV
#1
When trying to watch live tv through the firestick 4k, the screen will go black after some seemingly random amount of time.  There will be a 100% blue circle for a split second after the screen has gone black but then disappears.  Am using the nextpvr addon and everything else seems to work fine.  Have already troubleshot with the developer of the addon in the nextpvr forums and he doesn't seem to think it has anything to do with the addon.  He identified this sting in a previous log as a possible problem.

T:28903 DEBUG: CDVDVideoCodecAndroidMediaCodec::SignalEndOfStream: state: 3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Link below is to current debug logs.

In general the firetv 4k has a Firmware bug playing interlaced content, see: https://github.com/amzn/exoplayer-amazon-port/issues/94 and https://github.com/amzn/exoplayer-amazon-port/issues/81 - amazon is "working on it" since some months.

As your input is mpeg2 in HD resolution, I don't think you can play it with SW playback, e.g. try to disable mediacodec and mediacodec surface - you should have a picture, but it will stuter.

Yeah: Let your backend transcode to progressive if possible.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for the information.  Will try transcoding.
