there is no info here at all to work on i'm afraid. its not getting as far as logging anything once it tries to play. I would try a reinstall of xbmc perhaps, and if that doesnt fix anything post a trac bug report, since system freezes etc shouldnt be caused by a plugin

Not sure it will help fix the bugs people are experiencing but i have noticed that if you have xbmc set to "show information" under settings/videos/file lists/default select action and then use select to access the iplayer addon videos, hitting play in the video info screen will not play the video.
If you instead set xbmc to "play" as default select action then they will play.
So it appears, for me at least, the playback problem is caused by the addon using the default select action and failing to loads video from the show info page. I notice other video addons don't take you to the video info page when you hit select even if this is your default select action. Maybe this could be changed for this plugin to work?
As a workaround, If, like me, you like having your default select action set to show info (for use with movies, tv shows etc.) then you should use the play button to playback videos in the iplayer addon and not use select. This way videos will playback fine.

Something happened between 2.4.2 and 2.4.5 because radio streams stopped working again. Rolling back to 2.4.2 fixes this.

you know what I'm going to say next? debug log please. - btw you switched your streams to aac right? not all are available as aac perhaps, so auto would work better. and you cant play mms streams currently right ?
on the older code, only one stream type was working for radio, and so I attempted to improve things. if you give me some logs of working and not working i can see the problem. I did test a bunch of station though and they seemed ok before release.

One thing, do I need to turn on both Enhanced Debugging for iPlayer and debugging for XBMC?

both times it chose mms. your xbmc build is broken and doesn't have working mms. not sure why it didnt try and play aac - do you have a stream source preference set to akamai or something ? if there were not mms streams it would have tried to fall back to mp3, but it chose mms, and then your setup didnt play em. on the older plugin, it might have fallen back differently, but that isnt really an error. you could downgrade your xbmc for example.

Stream is set to Limelight. I'll try Any.
EDIT: Same result; looks like I'll have to rollback XBMC.

btw in the log it showed your preference was set to wma both times ? (unless i misunderstood). please note that you need to reconfirm the settings if changing version, since the ordering of the audio preferences are different now.

I did just try setting my radio stream type to aac/wma and then mp3 and all three worked and the correct one was played.
