APNG (Animated PNG) support in XBMC Skinning-Engine?

hello ok i only found out about this formate the other week when some one posted using this format instead of 200+ pngs files to do a nice animated image i tried it and it doesn't currently work in XBMC it shows but its not animated would it be possible to have support for this formate please.

A patch would be welcome for this.
