Release [depricated] old YouTube Plugin - XBMC 13.0 Frodo/Gotham only
I have not seen any response from the coders - are we confident that this matter is receiving their attention and when a fix is likely to become available?
How to clear or Flush youtube subscriptions channel's thumbnail?

Does anyone know how to clear/ Flush youtube subscriptions channel's thumbnail?, as you all know those subscriptions folder pickup the latest video as the thumbnail subscriptions folder and stay there forever, but sometime those thumbnail do not best represent those channel , but some how the addon store those thumbnail forever, even I
un-unsubscribe and unsubscribe again 3 months later , it still use the same old thumbnail picture !! why , how can I fix this. Can I individually only some channel thumbnail and keep others?
I am using Win7 / XBMC Version 11, thanks
Wonder if it's the same thing that killed the Amazon Prime plugin... flash DRM? The fact that everything plays OK in a browser is suspicious.
XBMC needs to work on getting support to build official plugins. Its one of the best media center apps out there but the severe lack of plugins makes its viability a little questioned. I've gone form xbmc to boxee box to boxee tv and back to boxee box and now to xbmc.

Finally got netflix working perfectly fine using windows media center through a shortcut. When done with netflix I just kill wmc and return back to xbmc.

Do we have the developers attention ? Has anyone heard from them?
Does the issue have anything to do with the html5 testing youtube is doing?

Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

I'm as confident as I can be for a free application supported by coders who don't get paid.
Wonder if anybody else is experiencing this.

This morning I went to look for a particular subscription and I get an error message saying that no subscriptions were found. Specifically "My Subscriptions - No Results". looking on my browser shows that everything is fine subscriptions are there. Also I have several subscribed channels favorited and choosing any of those shows the current video list and they all play fine.

So in a nutshell, the plugin seems to not be able to find subscription lists anymore. Oy.. I guess employees must need to do something to justify a paycheck by changing websites every 15 minutes..

Every time I say this the response is that XBMC is not a streaming video app... Its a media library app with addon support.
Re: inability to play some videos with the youtube plugin, I'm getting the same error on both raspbmc and xbmc on Ubuntu.

According to a project member's comment at this link, it is not an issue with the youtube plugin:
https://code.google.com/p/youtubexbmc/is...d=95&can=1

It doesn't seem like #2 is the problem if so many people are seeing this. If #3 is the problem, then is there nothing anybody can do about it.

Clearly the person does not know what he is talking about. The problem is widespread and not a localized issue. If only he could test it out.

Right. Videos play everywhere else fine, except in xmbc youtube plugin. Therefore, the problem lies elsewhere, and there is nothing to be done.
same issues here in the uk , can play youtube general streams but not music streams which seems to be coming from vevo , i have vevo plugin installed and all plays fine in this. also have music video jukebox which uses youtube addon and this also is not working. i would say its a youtube issue

Same here - UK also - all non-vevo streams work fine in XMBC and in "Download Flash and Video" on Firefox - alas Vevo ones don't work in either - "Download Flash and Video" results in 0 byte files Sad
If it's a DRM problem, should just changing the user agent on the HTTP requests being sent to youtube solve such problems? Cuz unless they have some sort of encryption going on between the browser flash player and vevo streams, this should be easily mimicked by the XBMC youtube player.

Vevo streams play just fine with the Vevo app on blucop. Note: The vevo app is not official as well. Every since the vevo streams stopped working, the vevo official app has not changed or updated. which gets me to believe that the youtube app approaches those streams in a different way.
