You do the same thing it says to do in the MySQL (wiki) guide. There are no special instructions for the R-Pi.

Not sure about the set schedule part but what I do is use the XBMC library export to a single file to backup my XBMC library. Very easy to re-import the library again if needed.
Kodi 17, Transparency Skin
PogoPlug v4 running Arm Linux 4.4.63 as MySQL (mariadb) server.
Mac OS 10.12.5
2015 27" iMac 3.3 GHz Quad, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD
2015 13" Macbook Pro, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
AppleTV 4 TV OS 10
OK. Thanks for the info.

IMPORTANT:
Don't use MySQL 5.6 like it says in the Wiki - I ignored that and drove myself crazy. 5.5 works like a champ.
Could a moderator *please* close this thread?

No necromancing!
way too old of a thread, outdated and all information relevant to what this was is now in the wiki...so this now only serves to cause confusion and frustration, it still refers to the Lifehacker page.
Please...

Thank you,
