I'm running Windows 8 64-bit . Looks like nothing is running on port 8084 or 8085. Forgive me if it's something simple but I have Googled the error and also "Htpc-Manager tutorial" and "HTPC-Manager setup" and haven't found anything to helpful. I am pretty confident I got everything right on the instructions page of the HTPC-manager website though. Thanks in advance for any help.
By default there is no 'succes' message on startup. The default port is 8085, so in your browser http://locahost:8085 should bring you to Htpc Manager. If you would like a more detailed output on the console, use the debug parameter as described in the install guide at htpc.io
Code:
python Htpc.py --debug
This will also include info from the CherryPy webserver, displaying the port it is running on
Code:
[30/Jun/2013:00:37:46] ENGINE Serving on 0.0.0.0:8085
Another option is to check the log file, located in *your htpc-manager dir*/userdata/htpcmanager.log
Let us know if you've figured it out!
