The libve tarball contains the source and documentation for libve, as well as a demo. The Makefile is dated 12 June 2012, so I believe that's the latest source code they have, and that's what gimli should already have received, but all these files are freely available to all developers, not only for the XBMC project"
if that is June 12 files, it seems they should be the latest..
