They told us that the date on their build server is wrong.
The intresting fact is, that i got https://dl.dropbox.com/u/65312725/a10_decoder.tar.gz long ago from Tom Cubie.
Guess what, same md5sum and file date. So at the end of the day, their support claim was a big fat lie.
Feel free to tell them what you think about that and spread the truth around.
For my part i sugest, support Pivos. They give support back. Allwinner is a one way road.
Thanks for the update. I will attempt to stay persistently optimistic -- sometimes it take a long time for an organization to get themselves in order around some new directive. I hope that it is only a matter of not being able to execute properly on Allwinner's part. However, I can't ignore that they have failed to deliver on their promises yet. I have purchased an Mele A100 box to play around with; but XBMC seems unlikely until Allwinner is able to deliver.
I will be purchasing a Pivos box:
1) To reward their awesome display of support.
2) To reward their ability to execute
3) It runs XBMC! (to reward me with an XBMC box)
If Allwinner is monitoring this forum:
I could be purchasing 2 or 3 more of the Mele's for Set-Top-Box and a few Tablets if this issue had been worked out -- I'll keep watching.
