I'd like to start by stating that so far I haven't altered any code at all, so the following setup should be achievable for everyone.
Still waiting for the final version of 3.0 (great work so far guys) so this tutorial will be posted in stages. First up are a few screenshots and a video. Excuse the crudity of the video, I just can't get on with FRAPS and haven't found an alternative yet:
