XBMC Eden (2:11.0~git20120423.cd20772-1 from the Ubuntu repos)
OS: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (x64) (Kernel 3.2.0-29-generic)
8GB RAM, Intel® Core i5 760
Video: ATI RV710 [Radeon HD 4350]
Output to Hanspree HD TV via HDMI
When playing slideshows, I noticed that the animation would suddenly speed up (at first I though it was slowing down). I then noticed the same speed up when the audio visualisation would spin much faster for a second and then slow down.
I then turned on debugging and saw that the framerate was jumping between 100 and 290 fps on just the menu screen when idling. The speed up is also visible when looking at the scrolling text at the bottom of the menu screen.
I've posted a video of what it looks like.
I couldn't find any other people with the same problem - most people complain of the framerate dropping, but mine is definitely speeding up. When I watch any videos (including the BBC iPlayer plugin), I never notice any issues (iPlayer played at a constant 25fps as expected).
Many thanks.
