1. The xml configuration is not very comfortable. I had some sucess but at the end no video plays

Are there any preconfigured xmls using lav splitter and lav video codecs in combination with ffdshow postprocessing for upscaling any sd video material? is postprocessing possible or only in combination using ffdshow video codecs

Of course you need to install LAVFilters , AV Splitter & FFDshow packages. Be sure to disable "Use system filters (DirectShow merits)".

Why av splitter, isn't LAV filters package enough?

After installing av spliiter packages works for mkv, dix, xvid as I expected :-) until i play a ddvd, dvd starts to play, ds playder did not start, standard player plays DVD, after playing a dvd no more movie can be played, I have to restart xmbc :-(
Can your configuration also be used for playing sd tv ?
