I accidentaly changed the sorting and just did a
mv .xbmc/userdata/Database/ViewModes6.db .xbmc/userdata/Database/ViewModes6.db.orig
and rebooted. I guess this removes any changes and resets to "factory settings" but it solved the problem for me
