I forked https://github.com/Gothicawakening/plugi....shortlist and adjusted for Matrix (and some python code cleanup) to work with Matrix.

I just tested the latest version, seems great so far. I had tested the previous GitHub version and had to go back to Ver 0.0.2 (it was only showing one movie in the list, when the were 6 or more).
